Electrical and Automation Engineer

As an Electrical and Automation Engineer with us, you will have a central role in the development and implementation of our renewable energy systems. You will work hands-on with everything from project planning and programming of control systems to installation and commissioning of our renewable energy systems. With us, you get the opportunity to take ownership of projects and collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure reliable solutions even in demanding environments.
The position reports to the CTO.

Work Tasks:
- Professional responsibility for electrical work and ensure that projects follow NEK400, FEL, FSE and other norms and regulations. Passed installer exam is an advantage (not an absolute requirement, as installation is performed by authorized partners)
- Quality assure project planning, documentation and final inspection
- Develop wiring diagrams, procedures, risk analyses and technical documentation
- Program and configure control systems (typically PLC) and integrate with other energy systems (Modbus, MQTT, etc.)
- Participate in planning, installation, function testing and commissioning of facilities
- Provide technical support to installers and collaboration partners
- Collaborate with software developers to develop and improve our platform
- Contribute to internal competence building and improvement of routines and documentation

Desired Qualifications:
- Higher education in automation, electrical, cybernetics or equivalent -- preferably at bachelor or master level
- Trade certificate as electrician (group L) is an advantage
- Experience with project planning, documentation and final inspection according to applicable regulations and standards (NEK400, FEL, etc.)
- Solid experience with automated control systems and protocols such as Modbus and MQTT
- Experience from solar power, battery systems or other renewable technologies will be of advantage
- Good written and oral skills in Norwegian and English
- Structured and quality-conscious, with ability to work both operatively and systematically
