Inseanergy has garnered significant interest from fish farmers regarding a new support program offered by Enova.
Enova, a Norwegian government enterprise responsible for the promotion of environmentally friendly production and consumption of energy, has launched a new financial support program called “Renewable Energy for Feed Fleets.” This program offers fish farming companies the opportunity to have up to 50% of the investment costs for renewable energy projects covered by the Norwegian government.
Inseanergy has received significant interest from fish farmers regarding this program. We are pleased to announce that LetSea and Nova Sea are among the first to apply for financial support to implement our floating solar power plant - Inseanergy Solar Hybrid®. These companies are taking important steps towards a greener future and sustainable development in fish farming. The announcement of this financial support program holds great significance for fish farmers seeking to advance in the green transition.
Kari-Elin Hildre, CEO of Inseanergy, stated, “At Inseanergy, we aim to be a driving force for innovative solutions that contribute to the green shift. Inseanergy Solar Hybrid® is an innovative energy system that combines solar energy with other energy sources to create a reliable and sustainable energy solution. This system is specifically designed to optimize energy production by utilizing solar panels in combination with other technologies such as battery storage and integration with existing energy sources. Our goal is to ensure continuous energy supply, reduce carbon emissions, and support the green shift in various industrial sectors, including the aquaculture industry.”
Lars Føsker, Technology Research Leader at LetSea, expressed, “We are excited to collaborate with Inseanergy and their innovative approach to energy production. This project is an important part of our strategy to reduce our environmental footprint and contribute to a sustainable future.”
Tormod Skålsvik, business developer at Nova Sea, added, “The collaboration with Inseanergy allows us to use ground-breaking technology that will make our operations more environmentally friendly and cost-effective. We look forward to seeing the positive effects this project will have on our business and the environment.”
Egil Hjelmeland, CSO at Inseanergy, remarked, “It is pleasing, but not surprising, to see that LetSea and Nova Sea are among the first to seek Enova support for our solution. They have shown great commitment and interest in new technology and sustainable energy solutions, and we look forward to contributing to a greener and more sustainable future together. We hope to be able to realize this solution on a large scale and demonstrate how renewable energy can be effectively integrated into the farming industry. The support from Enova will be very important to accelerate sustainable energy use in the industry, and there are several applications coming in.”
Inseanergy, LetSea, and Nova Sea anticipate continuing this collaboration and contributing to a greener and more sustainable future. The deadline for applying for Enova support is 14th June, followed by a new round later this year with a deadline of 22nd November.
