Our dedicated team at Alotta handled the entire installation process from start to finish, with everyone playing a role in the process. This hands-on approach deepens our knowledge of the product, while making installation quick and efficient.

Hofseth: A seafood industry leader

Hofseth, one of Norway’s leading seafood producers, has a rich history dating back to 2002. They are known for processing salmon and trout close to where it's farmed, with a strong focus on sustainability and quality. However, with no access to land-based power infrastructure, Hofseth has relied on fossil fuels to power its operations. The installation of Alotta’s solar system provides a clean, zero-emission alternative, helping them reduce their environmental impact.

- The transition from diesel-only operations to Alotta’s floating solar power system has been a positive experience for all of us. When we can turn off the diesel generator and rely solely on solar power, the employees have a much better workday, free from noise and emissions, and it doesn’t hurt that we’re saving money as well. Our employees take pride in being part of a greener future, and it adds extra motivation to our daily work, says Bjørnar Seth, Operations Manager at Hofseth Aqua.

Ode: Pioneering sustainable aquaculture

Ode, a producer of premium farmed cod, is setting new standards in Norwegian aquaculture. While connected to the land-based grid, Ode has chosen to embrace solar power to further its sustainability efforts. Its commitment to renewable energy aligns perfectly with our mission at Alotta.

- By adopting Alotta's floating solar power systems across our sea sites, we are committed to sustainability, reducing our carbon footprint, and promoting a healthier environment for our employees and marine life, says Tor Olav Seim, founder, Head of Strategy & Business Development at Ode.

Both installations now supply clean, renewable energy to these industry leaders, utilizing Ocean Sun’s Patented floating PV technology. We're proud to contribute to a greener future for Norwegian aquaculture.
